Curtis Park Community Center focuses its programs on the poor and the working poor to lessen employment barriers, promote family activities and communication, and to provide emergency services, all of which help to build an empowered community. Serving people ages 6 weeks old through senior citizens, CPCC helped a record number of nearly 13,000 individuals in 2002. Of those 13,000 clients, 92 percent were either black or Hispanic and 52 percent of clients served were children. Programs that are currently being offered include: Emergency Services/ Intake, Senior Services, Case Management, Training, and Child Care.
